A bug-fix release aimed at issues found during the v2.x rollout, plus a few desktop enhancements.

Enhancements

• Voice message recording, plus fixes to voice message playback (now working on arm64 too)
• Settings tiles now highlight the page you are viewing in the two-column layout
• The splash screen now shows migration progress and only offers to close or report once startup actually stalls
• Smoother message list animations when sending
• Backups & restore now fall back to local backups with an offline notice when the server can't be reached

• Fixes state management issues with the socket connection, which could cause a stale connection status, stacked listeners, and an unnecessary amount of errors

The desktop app catches up to v2.1.0, bringing the full set of v2.1.0 features to Linux, plus a batch of desktop-only fixes.

• Chat Stats - See tons of interesting stats about your chats (groups & DMs)
• Dynamic Wallpapers - Choose between 4 different animated wallpapers, based on the conversation's current theme
• Storage Analyzer - Visualize how the app is using storage and take action by selectively clearing older messages
• Material 3 Expressive - The Material & Samsung skins got a bit of a revamp to better align with the M3E design language
• Contact Management Page - New settings page to visualize the app's connection to your device's contacts & matching to iMessage handles

Desktop Improvements

• The splash screen now gets a close button after 3 seconds, plus a button to open a GitHub issue if startup is taking too long
• The app version now lives in a more obvious spot and turns up in settings search
• Saving and renaming files is far more robust inside the Flatpak and Snap sandboxes, fixing images & videos refusing to download and preferences silently failing to save
• Notifications now clear properly
• Ffmpeg-based video thumbnail generation
