Klia Store is a modern, fast application store built specifically for managing Flatpak applications on Linux. Beyond browsing and installing apps, it gives you tools to keep your system organized and under control.

Features:

  • Browse, install and update Flatpak applications, all from one place
  • Back up and restore your installed applications, including their data and runtimes
  • Visualize your installed apps and their permissions (storage, camera, file access) in an interactive view
  • Audit installed apps by verifying their source manifest against Flathub, helping protect against supply-chain tampering
  • Review requested permissions and a risk assessment before installing a local .flatpak file
  • Available in multiple languages, with automatic detection of your system language

2.14.01 Oct 2026

My Apps now shows two lists: your Flatpak applications, and the applications you installed from .deb packages. Every one of them appears with its own name, version and icon.

The .deb uninstall runs on the host as pkexec apt-get remove. Its safety constraints, in the order they are applied: the package name is validated before it reaches the shell; packages marked "Essential: yes" are refused; packages with "Section: metapackages" (the desktop metapackage) are refused; and the removal is cancelled when the simulated "apt-get -s remove" set would include an essential package. Only after all of them pass is the resolved package list reported and the removal authorized through polkit.

The About window got a fresh look. It now opens with the project website and the channel where updates are announced, and it thanks the people who have helped with the project.

Language detection was fixed, so the store now follows the language you have configured in your system. Japanese is now available, and the Chinese translation was updated to match the rest of the app.

Multiple bug fixes and stability improvements across the app.

2.13.127 Sept 2026

Fixed the Flathub package, which was still being built against the previous GNOME platform even though the app itself had already moved on. The Flatpak version now really runs on GNOME 51, the same platform the other packages use.

The Flatpak and .deb packages are now built with the Node.js 24 long-term-support toolchain, instead of the older Node.js 20 line that no longer receives security updates.

Project dependencies were brought up to date (React 19.3, Vite 7.3, Material UI 7.3, TanStack Query 5.104, Tauri plugins). All packages now ship the same library versions, and the security advisories reported by npm audit are gone.

2.13.027 Sept 2026

Klia Transcription is now the featured app on the Home screen, tagged as Beta: local call transcription with speaker separation and on-device summaries.

Klia Store now works local-first. If you lose your connection, the store keeps showing the content you already had instead of an error, and a yellow indicator in the title bar tells you that you are offline.

Installing an app or updating it while offline now shows a clear message, instead of a security warning you could not do anything about.

Updated to the GNOME 51 runtime, so Klia Store runs on the latest platform libraries.

Multiple bug fixes and stability improvements across the app.

2.12.029 Aug 2026

Klia Store now correctly tells apart apps installed from Flathub versus apps installed from a GitHub release, and shows the source next to installed apps.

Fixed an issue where an app's available update could be detected but then get updated from the wrong source, or keep showing as "update available" forever after already being updated.
