Zodia

Natal charts, transits & synastry

Zodia calculates your natal chart and live planetary transits, and shows each aspect with interpretations drawn from a crowd-sourced pool. A curated baseline set is bundled in the app and always available offline, so you get meaningful readings from day one.

Discover other Zodia users automatically. Nearby peers appear over mDNS on your local network; a global relay connects you to users anywhere on the internet. When two people exchange charts, shared aspects and synastry placements appear instantly alongside the community interpretations for those aspects.

Connected peers can make direct voice calls. All communication is end-to-end encrypted over QUIC — no central server stores your birth data, chart, or conversation history.

0.13.417 Aug 2026

Fixed interpretation readings in the aspect/synastry list and the Sky feed never showing a reading anyone had actually contributed — the preview was querying a legacy table that only ever holds bundled baseline text, not the real collaborative doc a contribution is saved to. Previews now resolve the same content the editor itself shows.

The peer sidebar's mute button now reveals and highlights on hover the same way the nickname edit icon next to it does, instead of always sitting semi-visible; an already-muted peer stays visible at rest as a status indicator.

Bumped the iroh networking library to 1.0.3.

0.13.315 Aug 2026

Fixed a peer page's Their Chart/Synastry/Messages tab switcher staying hidden after backing out of a reading editor with its own back button — it relied on a navigation-stack property change that libadwaita doesn't reliably fire for a back-button pop, so the header stayed gone until you left the tab and came back.

Generated the missing baseline readings for sign+house placements (1,440 combinations) merged into a single reading last release — previously these had no default text until someone wrote or AI-generated one.

0.13.214 Aug 2026

Fixed the Sky feed showing "No reading yet" for a transit or sky aspect even after someone had actually published a reading for it — the card was reading from a static bundled file instead of the real community database, both right after publishing and after restarting the app.

Redesigned the reading editor: a full-width writer's layout instead of a boxed form, with Share/Talk/Generate/Publish/Revisions moved to icon buttons in the title bar. The "Talk about this" call button is now properly disabled with an explanation when no one else is currently viewing the same reading.

A planet's sign and house placement (e.g. "Sun in Aquarius, House 5") are now one combined reading instead of two separate ones.

Chart and Sky's category filters moved into the title bar as pill buttons; peer pages no longer leave a stray tab switcher showing while you're reading something.

0.13.114 Aug 2026

Fresh app screenshots showing the redesigned sidebar, plus build fixes so the 0.13 release actually ships on every platform (the aarch64 Linux build and the Flathub update both failed for 0.13.0).
