Requires the data files of an existing game copy. If they are missing, the game indicates their expected location at startup.

MIDI playback is not yet implemented for Linux. To get background music, download and set up a BGM pack through the Config → Sound / Music → BGMPack option.

This release comes bundled with IPAMonaGothic, a free and metric-compatible alternative for the MS Gothic font used in the original Windows version. For pixel-perfect text rendering, put msgothic.ttc into one of your system's standard font directories, as listed by fc-cache -v.

P03415 Oct 2026

Added a command-line tool that demonstrates rapid replay validation and desync detection, using the newly isolated headless game logic library. Run it with flatpak run --command=ssg_cli --filesystem=host net.nmlgc.rec98.sh01 /path/to/秋霜りぷ*.DAT.

Also fixed two bugs from the original game:

  • Score popups from point items collected with negative values are now correctly rendered as such, with a preceding minus sign
  • The Weapon Select screen for 6-stage main game now correctly allows all shot types after a trying to play a nonexistent Extra Stage replay

Final release before my retirement.

P032619 Oct 2025

Minor maintenance and Freedesktop SDK update release. Now also built with GCC!

P0310-212 Aug 2025

⚠️ Fixed a gameplay-forking bug in the rotation calculation of Marisa's bits, introduced in P0295. In rare cases, the now restored original behavior might invalidate and desync Extra Stage replays recorded on ≥P0295 and ≤P0310-1.

P0310-118 May 2025

Fixed two replay-related bugs:

  • Extra Stage replays recorded in ≥P0295 were highly likely to desync
  • ≥P0217 saved twice as many replay frames as necessary

Watching an affected replay will now repair the desync and recompress the file. Marking the replay file as read-only bypasses both fixes.
